GFH Alia National School is seeking a qualified, enthusiastic, and experienced Social Studies Teacher to join our teaching team.
The successful candidate will deliver engaging, inquiry-based lessons in History, Geography, and Social Studies, aligned with the American Curriculum, while promoting critical thinking, global awareness, cultural understanding, and responsible citizenship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging History, Geography, and Social Studies lessons aligned with American Curriculum standards.
- Develop students' historical understanding, geographical knowledge, research skills, and analytical thinking.
- Integrate American and world history, human and physical geography, civics, and global citizenship into teaching.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate diverse learning abilities within an inclusive classroom environment.
- Use technology, project-based learning, and interactive teaching strategies to enhance student engagement.
- Assess student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
- Collaborate with colleagues and communicate effectively with parents.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in History, Geography, Social Studies, Education, or a closely related field.
- Recognized teaching qualification or certification.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in an American Curriculum school.
- Strong knowledge of American Curriculum Social Studies standards and teaching methodologies.
- Excellent English communication and classroom management skills.
- Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs is an advantage.
- Ability to foster an inclusive, supportive, and stimulating learning environment.
